Junior : birth date after Jan. 1, 1990
Cadet : birth date after Jan. 1, 1993
Youth 14 : birth date after Jan. 1, 1995
Youth 12 : birth date after Jan. 1, 1997
Veterans : age 40+

ENTRY FEE

$30 per event, $50 to fence multiple events within that weapon. Cash only, payable at the door.

Example - if you wish to fence Foil Youth 14, cost is $30. To fenceFoil Cadet there is an additional fee of $20, then no additionalcharge to fence Junior Foil. If you then wish to fence in epee then the same structure applies - $30, then an additional $20.

PRE-REGISTRATION

Pre-registration required for all events with name, weapon,category, club, CFF number. All entries received after 4 March, subject to a $10 late fee. You may pre-register at www.newmarketfencing.com after 23 February 2010.

GENERAL

This event is sanctioned by the Ontario Fencing Association. CFF licence and OFA competitive membership required (Youth 14, Cadet, Junior, Veterans), or Recreational membership required for Youth 12. Results from this tournament count towards national Cadet, Junior and Veterans 2009/10 rankings. This tournament will be run in accordance with FIE and CFF rules and regulations, subject to the interpretations of the Directoire Technique. There may be mixed fencing in a weapon as numbers dictate. All fencers are subject to Article t.15 of the FIE Rules and Regulations. Masks and other equipment will be checked on the piste. Regular fencing attire required, including sous plastrons. You can wear track/sweat pants, but no lycra, for Cadet, Youth 14 and Youth 12 events only.

LOCATION

The tournament will be held at the Yuill Gym, St. Andrew’s College, 15800 Yonge Street
in Aurora, only 25 km north of Toronto.
From the 401, take 404 north. Exit at Mulock and turn west towards Newmarket.
Stay on Mulock until you reach Yonge. Turn left (south) on Yonge, and go past
St. John’s Side Road. St. Andrew’s College is at the next set of traffic lights on
the right (west) across from the Auto Mall.
If coming from the 401 west, take 400 north. Exit at highway 9, Orangeville and
Newmarket exit. Go right (east) until you reach Yonge. Turn right (south) on Yonge,
and go past St. John’s Side Road. St. Andrew’s College is at the next set of traffic lights
on the right (west) across from the Auto Mall.
